Grant Whitus is a 20-year Law Enforcement veteran and currently serves as a SWAT Team leader. He has been assigned to the SWAT team for the last 16 years, 6 of which as the Team Leader. Sergeant Whitus is a certified Explosive Breacher and P.O.S.T. Instructor for the Sheriff's Office Academy and Patrol In-Service Training. He teaches Officer Survival, Rapid and Immediate Deployment, SWAT, Building Searches, Traffic Stops, Driving, and Crowd Control. Sergeant Whitus has worked in various patrol assignments to include Drug Interdiction, Civil and the Fugitive Apprehension Group. Grant received six Medals for Valor, six Medals for Distinguished Service, and various other awards. Grant served as a SWAT Operator on an entry team for Columbine High School. He also devised and executed the tactical plan for the Hostage Rescue at Platte Canyon High School in September 2006.

Sean Joselyn is a Law Enforcement Officer and is currently a member of a SWAT Team as an entry operator and a sniper. Sean is a Colorado P.O.S.T. certified instructor and academy instructor where he assists with training new recruits as they prepare for their future in law enforcement. Sean is a Kaminsky certified FTO and trains new Deputies as they transfer to the Patrol Division. Sean is an instructor for O.C., Tactical Gas Deployment, Noise Flash Diversionary Devices, and Specialty Impact Munitions. Sean received the Distinguished Service Medal for his actions as a first responder and Sniper during the Platte Canyon High School Incident.

Joe Deedon has been employed as a Law Enforcement Officer since 2002. He has been a tactical operator with a SWAT team since 2005. Joe is a Kaminsky certified FTO currently assigned to the Patrol Division where he trains newly assigned patrol Deputies. He also instructs newly hired Officers and Deputies from around the metro area that attend a Regional P.O.S.T. certified Academy in the following areas; Building Searches, RAID, Traffic Stops and Crowd Control. In November of 2006 Joe received the Distinguished Service Medal and the Park County Sheriff 's Commendation for his actions during the Platte Canyon High School incident. In May of 2007 Joe received the Medal of Valor for his actions during an officer involved shooting with a barricaded gunman.
