This course provides the student with classroom instruction, hands on operation and role playing scenarios in all aspects of Dignitary Protection. Starting with Arrivals and Departures, moving into Protective Formations from (3) three man to (8) eight man and team movement. Introducing Motorcade Operations and Counter Assault Team (CAT) responsibilities. Finishing with Close Quarters Shooting and Defensive Tactics.
At the conclusion of the 40 hour block of training the student will be able to:
-Establish secure arrival and departure areas as a result of proper advance work, Planning and Protective Detail communication.
-Set the Protective Detail in formation and move the Dignitary in, around and out of the selected venue safely.
-Operate a Motorcade in an urban environment safely and effectively.
-Set up and coordinate a Counter Assault Team and have that team understand it’s roll within the Detail, as well as understand their Use of Force abilities.
-Have an understanding of when, and when not to use force and when necessary use Deadly Force.
Demonstrate the understanding of Dignitary Protection concepts through the use of live Role Play scenarios.
